Fine jewellery with natural Sri Lankan sapphires
Maera was founded by Yasasi, an FGA-qualified gemmologist from a family of gem traders, and Ramith, an engineer who shapes every setting. We source our stones directly in Sri Lanka and design each piece around the stone.

Questions
When will the new site launch?
Very soon. Register your interest and we'll email you as soon as our new website is live.
Are your sapphires natural?
Yes. Every sapphire we set is natural and certified, mined in Sri Lanka rather than grown in a lab.
What is the Surya™ cut?
Our own concave cutting technique, inspired by Sri Lanka's Ves masks. It draws light inward rather than outward, so the stone glows from within as it moves. Each stone is cut individually, so no two are the same.
Do you make engagement rings?
Yes. Engagement rings are at the heart of our collections, and we also design custom pieces around a stone you choose. Book a consultation to begin.
Can I still place an order?
Yes. Get in touch by email, phone or WhatsApp and we'll help with any piece, sizing or custom request.
I have an existing order
Email info@maerajewellery.com with your order number. Existing orders and warranties are unaffected.
Do you offer private appointments?
We do. Book a consultation with our founders and we'll arrange a time that suits you.
Where is Maera based?
In Sri Lanka and Canada. Every piece is made in our workshop in Sri Lanka, and we work with clients around the world.
